About Me

Creating has always, always been part of me. I can't ever remember not making something. And it was always with glue and paint and paper and fabric.Its innate.

I used to think that all artwork had to be based on happy feel good themes. Now I use my challenges as inspiration for my journal pages and my artworks and they become part of the solution.The are the affirming message that I need to hear and see daily to remind myself that it is possible. I create for me...it hasn't always been that way. But it feels like I can create with so much more depth .....and vulnerability. My art flows through me and explores the relationship with me and that.....gives others an opportunity for a smile or a deep reflection.

2009...mixed published in Jan/Feb issue & March/April in Cloth Paper Scissors (USA magazine).asked to teach journaling workshop in Sydney at Artistic Journey Retreat. gallery representation.

2008...mixed media collage article published in Cloth Paper Scissors (USA magazine).gallery representation.completed studies to become a Creativity Coach.Launched BuBu Blossom business of greeting cards featuring my drawings and designs.

2007...jewellery article published in Belle Amoire Jewellery (USA magazine).mixed media image used to promote local artshow.written article on creativity published in local newspaper.more collaborative exhibitions. started teaching creative journal classes. my illustrations published in perceptive astrology book 'Your Recipe for Empowerment'

2006...exhibited with collaborative artists group Crea8.facilitated personal development workshops with 'aha!'.feature article in 'Revive' magazine about 'aha!'.taught art units at local schools/preschool.short stint in Visual Merchandising for department store.my artwork featured on front page of spiritual magazine.became a committee member of Regional Arts Development Funding.

2005...exhibited my second solo show and began collaborating with other artists, also exhibiting in 17 different shows. began teaching workshops.started studying Perceptive Astrology. guest speaker at Regional Gallery 'Surviving as a Professional Artist'

2004...successful received RADF (arts) grant.showed my first solo exhibition .awarded 1st & highly commended for acrylic painting. highly commended for mixed media artwork. exhibited in 12 art shows.taught children's art classes.worked as artist assistant in summer workshops.attended business seminar for Australian artists. gallery representation

2003...exhibited paintings in seven local art shows. awarded 1st in designing a book mark for local library. guest speaker to Year 12 art students 'Extending Concepts & Pushing Ideas'

2002... received award for ceramic sculpture.started painting. guest speaker to Year 11 students 'Diversity of Mediums'

1997...began our family

1996...began Visual Merchandising for major department store.

1993...studied interior design

1990...started my own hand made jewellery business.

1989...graduated from University, Diploma of Visual Arts.

1985...topped the state in Textiles, Higher School Certificate.yr 12.
